Dear Reader,
We launched our quant-driven portfolio on April 20, 2025, after hundreds of backtests and refinements. Since then, we’ve continued researching and making ongoing adjustments. So far, the portfolio has performed well by returning 20.97% over this period and outperforming SPY.
Between April 19 and June 20, 2025, SPY showed a strong upward trend, climbing from around $515 to a peak near $600 before slightly pulling back to around the $594 level on Friday. Despite minor fluctuations in early June, the ETF maintained most of its gains, reflecting a resilient market supported by bullish sentiment.
Here is the performance of our portfolio against SPY. The consistent spread between the two lines from mid-May onward suggests sustained alpha generation and strong relative strength.
Over the past month, a significant portion of our portfolio’s growth came from Robinhood (HOOD). Our algorithm made a strong call by including it, allocating just over 20% to the position.
Between May 19th and June 20th, we held the following stocks in various proportions:
GLD SPDR Gold Shares ETF
MS Morgan Stanley
V Visa Inc.
SOUN SoundHound AI, Inc.
BBAI BigBear.ai Holdings, Inc.
HOOD Robinhood Markets, Inc.
The worst performers were Visa and SoundHound AI:
In our portfolio, how much cash we allocate to each ticker is a key part of how our algorithm works.
Just yesterday, the portfolio was rebalanced. This time adding a VIX-related product to help cushion against potential market swings, given the ongoing global conflicts and current economic uncertainty in the U.S. This move was done by our algo.

The portfolio rebalances on a monthly basis, so it doesn’t require much day-to-day attention or constant monitoring. This makes it ideal for investors who prefer a hands-off approach but still want a strategy grounded in quantitative analysis. The algorithm assesses current holdings, evaluates new opportunities, and reallocates based on updated market data, keeping trading frequency low to minimize noise and unnecessary costs.
